Throughout my life and career, the greatest reward for me is when people I have coached or supported have a breakthrough – relief or success – it didn’t matter as long as it made their life better.
As a nurse, my passion was to not only serve patients, but to help the health care providers that serve our patients. I completed a study using mindfulness to decrease the stress of nurses and clinical staff and improve the work environment. This was published and presented nationally as a podium presentation, “Don’t get cooked by the pressure of Healthcare”.
I had always struggled with anxiety and I remember showing up to speak in front of 400 nurses and I felt gripped by terror. My friend Aimee, a theta healer, was able to help me overcome my fear in minutes. She and I had studied this modality together.
Additionally, I was the principle investigator on an IRB study "Chronic Pain and the effects mindful self-management”. While it was rewarding to be recognized and present internationally at a Sigma research symposium, that paled in comparison to the participants in my study that were experiencing pain relief in my mindfulness class. I remember one patient who shared her story of years of suffering and being pain free in my class for the first time in years. Thinking of it still brings tears to my eyes.
Unfortunately, while working in a hospital environment, I continued to watch my own health decline over the years as the stress increased. I found relief from my health challenges through Ayurveda. The main philosophy being to remove the toxins, restore nutrients and renew through healthy lifestyle changes. Ideally, if we can learn to understand the early indications of disharmony in our bodies and respond appropriately, our bodies can self-correct and heal. But with years of abuse and once chronic disease sets in it takes more support and time but it is still possible to heal at a deeper level and not just cover up symptoms. I saw dramatic improvements in my health but no real deep changes in my life.
I then found Dr. Joe Dispenza and was fortunate to be in his first medical practitioners group and see the great research he was doing with major universities. People were healing from meditation practices that neither allopathic nor integrative medicine could help. That is when I really knew that you needed to go that spiritual or energetic level to help the people that could not get well with physical interventions. I loved doing Dr. Joe’s meditations and each day saw improvements in my level of joy and presence.
When it came to overcoming my emotional problems, anxiety, insecurity, not feeling good enough inside despite all my accomplishments, I found relief and a new life through the emotion code. Trapped emotions are removed from the body with such ease. No need to relive the emotional trauma or contemplate it. It just releases. After several sessions, I started to respond to all life’s situations so much differently. I was not being pushed down and back by the emotional baggage of the past. The resistance and fears of communicating openly and honestly with people was gone. The sun was brighter, the bird’s songs were so much more beautiful, life held so much more joy. Challenges seemed to smaller. In fact the people I have worked with very much describe the same experience of their lives transforming to one of greater ease and joy. I knew this would be what I wanted to now do in life. Help give people freedom from the emotional baggage of the past so more love is available in their lives and in our world. This can often lead to better health as the low vibrations disrupting the body's energy field are no longer there and the body can restore its own balance and health.
